Northern Scents soaps are vegetable-based and are handmade using high quality, natural ingredients. They are 'cold-processed' in small batches, ensuring that the therapeutic properties of any additives used are retained to the fullest extent. We do not use chemical or synthetic preservatives in our soap, allowing us to offer you a pure, healthy product. Most importantly, cold-processed soap retains all of the glycerin produced as part of the soap making process. Glycerin forms a natural, protective, moisture-attracting layer on our skin. Commercial soap manufacturers frequently remove the glycerin from their soap and sell it as a separate product, and as a result their soap can leave your skin feeling dry and tight.
